Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a structured psychotherapy that enables patients to heal from trauma or other emotional distress caused from a disturbing life experiences such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, negative self-talk, and panic disorders. Research studies show that EMDR is very effective in helping people process emotionally painful and traumatic experiences. When used in conjunction with other therapy modalities, EMDR helps a client move quickly from emotional distress to peaceful resolution of the issues or events involved. Studies consistently show that treatment with EMDR results in elimination of the targeted emotion. The memory remains but the negative response neutralizes.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, marital problems, and severe mental illness. CBT is one of the most thoroughly researched forms of psychotherapy and counseling. CBT emphasizes what is going on in the person’s current life, coping skills, and grounding exercises, where the focus is primarily on developing more effective ways of coping with life.
CBT places an emphasis on helping individuals learn through exercises in the session as well as “homework” exercises outside of sessions, patients/clients are helped to develop coping skills, whereby they can learn to change their own thinking, problematic emotions, and behavior. CBT also focuses on problem-solving and promoting behavioral changes.
